Standing at around 195cm, his elegant figure is already attention-catching enough; add to that long, deep red hair that always seems to have that perfect windblown look and he's quite hard to miss. Another distinguishing feature is the half mask he wears over the right side of his face, held in place by eyeglasses' frame and without which he is never seen. Ever the fashionable man, he likes dressing well but always with his own twist. Though truly, no matter what he threw on, he'd find a way to pull it off with his confidence. Personality: He isn't a likable person at all. Unless dealing with a good looking woman he'll most certainly act like a jerk, speaking what's on his mind no matter how blunt or even straight out ignoring the person. Cross is a dominant man, higher authority doesn't sit well with him and he'll make sure they know it, dismissing orders and doing things in his own special way after much procrastination. A true hedonist with an ego the size of the universe, Cross would rather spend his time indulging in the good life- drinking, smoking and getting some women. Those of the female variety are the only ones to ever receive a courteous treatment from him, highly contrasting with his usual rough-mannered ways. Abilities: Cross possesses a deadly accurate marksmanship, no shoot he makes will ever miss, specially not when using his Innocence weapon: a gun named Judgement. He can handle magic to a certain degree but this hasn't been explored too much in canon other than his ability to perform seals, change his appearance into a "Skull" with the mask he wears, and control the corpse of a woman called Maria. He's also an expert swindler at all sorts of games, but more importantly he's a true master at avoiding the debts he manages to accumulate through his vices. |

| False memories: Born to a wealthy couple, Cross enjoyed a life surrounded by luxury in his early years. As a single child he was rather spoiled; everything he wanted, he'd have it. It was around the time that he began with his university education that both his parents passed away in an accident that also took his right eye, leaving him as the sole heir to the family fortune. Young and arrogant, Cross let the money slip out of his hands in nothing but debaucheries, leaving him penniless in the blink of an eye. Submerged in debts and close to ending up in the streets, he sought asylum in the hands of God. Now a man supposedly dedicated to God, Cross serves as a priest to the Catholic religion mainly in Elysium. He does, however, often travel down to the other levels to office mass and do various acts of "good will". While he may appear a decent man of God to the majority, his devotion is truly something to be questioned. His masses in the lower levels are well known for often being something out of the ordinary, this being due to him frequently offering them while still half inebriated. Temptation, carnal or otherwise, isn't truly something he tries to resist. A few years ago, in the name of God, Cross established an orphanage for the less fortunate ones in the Abyss. They took in all the street runts and bastard children that allowed themselves to be caught, offering them a decent meal and a place to stay, but what truly goes on in there is known to few. The smarter children are taught to cheat and steal, sending them out to collect money that goes mainly toward Cross' personal account. If they're talented enough, Cross will sometimes take them to the higher levels under the pretense of choir boys, only to use them to steal out of some wealthier pockets. When the children have nothing useful to offer in Cross' eyes, their destiny turns quite grim. The law of natural order is still applied in the orphanage, and the weaker children get sold off to the black market for their organs. Canon: Truly a mysterious man, there isn't much known about Cross at this point from before he met Allen Walker. As an Exorcist for the Black Order, his job consists of battling against the Earl of the Millennium and his accomplices using Innocence (an element with godly powers), to stop him from destroying the world once more. In Cross' case, he wields Innocence in the shape of a gun. He isn't a common Exorcist though, having reached a high synchronization rate with his Innocence, Cross is also one of the four Generals in the Black Order. He was assigned the mission to destroy the Akuma generating plant to stop the Earl from creating any more of these monsters, but in order to do so he cut all links and relations to the Order and the Vatican, making it impossible for his superiors- or anyone else, to find him. It was during this time that he, perhaps not so casually, came across young Allen Walker. He took in the boy whose parasitic Innocence had just activated for the first time as a sort of apprentice, though he was truly used more like a slave than anything else. Cross taught him how to cheat and used him mainly to pay off his debts, but he also Infiltrating the Earl's ranks, he managed to reach his objective inside the Ark. Using Allen to his advantage once more, he preserved the Akuma factory and delivered it to headquarters for further investigation. Not having stepped foot in there for years, high ranking inspectors from the Vatican awaited to question him about his actions and knowledge, but it was all interrupted by an enemy attack directly into headquarters. After everything was under control once more, Cross strikes a deal and leaves to be questioned by the higher ups. |
